New Student Specialist Office

Upon applying to DeVry University, new students will work with the New Student Specialist Office to navigate the financial aid and registration processes.  The NSS Office serves as "home base" to these students, and each will be assigned to an individual Specialist to assist them.

Our Mission is to provide excellent customer service to new and prospective students as they embark upon their educational experience at DeVry Columbus. 

In harmony with our mission:

* To support students in making the transition into the campus community.

Carissa originally hails from Youngstown, Ohio, but has enjoyed living in Columbus for the past several years.  She received her BA in Communications from Malone College, and her Master's Degree in Human Resource from Keller Graduate School of Management. 

Sara Burris--New Student Specialist

Sara is originally from Massillon, and received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Kent State.  She went on to earn her Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.  She has been with DeVry for several years, and has experience as a Career Services advisor, high school presenter, and now a New Student Specialist.

Jamie Claypool--New Student Specialist

Jamie is a Columbus native who is in her fourth year with the university.  She earned her Bachelor’s of Education in English and History at Ohio University, and her Master's of Human Resource Management with our own Keller Graduate School of Management.
